The city's our playground.
MORE than 200 adrenalin junkies took over Belfast this weekend and turned it into an urban sports playground of extreme adventure.
The adventure-seekers were taking part in the two-day Rat Race event which challenged their physical and mental strength on a range of sporting activities set up across the city.
Outdoors fanatics ran, biked, kayaked and abseiled their way around Belfast.
The hugely popular event, first staged in the UK five years ago, has previously been hosted by London, Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh.
This was Belfast's second Rat Race and Jim Cree, the creator of the event, said: "Belfast offers a really eclectic mix of adventure opportunities."
