The big dig.

The Scottish Ballet's long-awaited new digs opened this summer. The dancers began rehearsing at the Tramway complex in Glasgow in July. When the building process is complete the space will offer rehearsal studios, training and education studios, and a health-and-fitness center. During construction a time capsule was unearthed dating back to the late 1800s! This month, Stephen Petronio's raw choreography takes center stage as part of the Scottish Ballet's fall lineup. Ride the Beast, set to five songs from Radiohead, is a part of their repertory that won a UK Critics' Circle National Dance Award last year. Oct. 4-5, 7-8, 10-11. See www.scottishballet.co.uk.
