THE premier wrestling show in all of Europe invades the Coventry SkyDome Arena on Saturday November 13 with the UK's answer to WrestleMania.FWA British Uprising 3 will be the largest wrestling show ever held in Coventry, and this unmissable event promises to be a non-stop festival of thrills, spills and high impact grappling action in front of the Sky Digital television cameras.
If you haven't seen British wrestling since the days of Big Daddy, you're in for a treat. The FWA mix the traditional sporting element of wrestling with the glitz and glamour more commonly associated with American wrestling, proudly boasting a full pyrotechnic display, sound and lighting.
The FWA presents a youthful, hard-hitting product, with muscular guys, sexy girls, unbelievable athleticism and stars from all over the world.
As well as the best wrestlers on the current UK scene, British Uprising 3 will showcase some of the biggest names in American wrestling such as former World Heavyweight Champion, and ex tag-team partner of Mick Foley, Terry Funk.
Also starring at the SkyDome will be former WWE superstar, D'Lo Brown. Brown was the first wrestler to ever hold both the Intercontinental and European Championships simultaneously.
Brown has wrestled for the FWA previously but is buzzing with excitement at the prospect of his return. He said: "British fans truly are the best in the world and I can't wait to return at the biggest event of the year - British Uprising."
Also flying over from the USA will be the dynamic young high-flyer, AJ Styles. Styles was recently ranked the seventh best wrestler in the world by respected magazine Power Slam, and is widely regarded by experts to be the best wrestler currently outside of the WWE.
Since the launch of The Wrestling Channel on Sky Digital 427, the stars of the FWA are becoming household names, much like the British wrestling legends of yesteryear. You can follow the build-up to British Uprising 3 by tuning in to FWA TV each and every week on Fridays at 9pm. As the stories and feuds develop, make sure you've booked your ticket to British Uprising 3, so you can be there in person.
As a special bonus, local hero Tony 'Banger' Walsh will also be appearing on the show. 'Banger' is both a British wrestling legend, famous for teaming with fearsome Giant Haystacks, and also a multi-millionaire businessman.
Doors open at 5.30pm and the show will start at 6pm. There is a pre- show special starting at 4.45pm for all ringside ticket holders only.
Tickets cost from pounds 10 to pounds 60, with special discounts for families. They are available by calling the Coventry SkyDome box office on 02476 630693.
