The auction block.

An intriguing and evocative rare, cased ring pistol sold at the April 12, 2017, James D. Julia auction for a respectable $5,750, including premiums. The 2mm, nine-shot ring revolver with side-mounted pivoting hammer features a mainspring wrapped around the external circumference of the German-silver ring. The cylinder is hand-rotated and employs a spring detent bolt to keep it indexed. "LA FEMME FATALE" is engraved on the body of the ring along with decorative acanthus leaves. The whole, along with an elector rod, is fitted into a red-velvet-lined case, which also has spaces for nine cartridges. This fascinating piece of clandestine jewelry would certainly be a highlight in any firearms curiosa collection. For more information about this and future auctions, contact James D.
