* "I have in the past and will again! Church, for many, provides such an oasis of calm in the turbulent waters of life. Many GLBTQ people do not have that peace, because so many (understandably] have a negative view on religion and its leaders after such people as Falwell and Phelps. Our youth have the right to benefit from the same aspects of church, as do straight children."

* "No, because the number of churches in my area that support gay outreach are nonexistent. The church-affiliated organizations here all do activist work to support antigay legislation."

* "Absolutely! As an LGBT youth, I know our young community deserves all the help it can get."

* "Not a fan of organized religion, so much rather volunteer to help a community-based support center for LGBT youth."

* "Those of us who have successfully weathered the storm of a gay and closeted adolescence have a responsibility to offer a hand to those who come after us. That is what community is all about; that is what being a 'Christian' is really all about."
