The X factor; MEET THE GIRLS FRONTING TV3'S XPOSE.

Byline: By MAEVE QUIGLEY

THEY'RE sexy, sassy and the new faces of entertainment coming to your TV screens on Monday.

TV3's fab five Lorraine Keane, Sybil Mulcahy, Aisling O'Loughlin, Karen Coster and Lisa Cannon will be bringing celebrity gossip series Xpose to your living room at 6pm every weeknight.

We spoke to the five lovely ladies who will be brightening up our screens with all the scandal and glamour from the worlds of television, film, fashion and music.

1 KAREN COSTER

AT 26 cute Karen is the baby of the bunch.

But as an entertainment news junkie, when the former Ireland AM reporter heard about the programme, she had to be involved.

Karen said: "I was working on Ireland AM for three years as a stand-in presenter and reporter.

"I loved doing entertainment packages so the minute I heard about Xpose I started banging very loudly on doors so that I would get the chance to work on the show."

Karen admits she's addicted to pop music and loves everyone from Justin Timberlake to Beyonce.

And she would love to interview Meryll Streep, adding: "Meryll is such an interesting woman."

2 LISA CANNON

AS the newest member to TV3, Lisa cut her teeth on community television in Dublin.

But the 28-year-old is delighted to be part of the Xpose team.

Lisa said: "I had seen the other girls and I am pleased we are working together."

Lisa is a huge music lover but likes nothing more than relaxing in front of a Martin Scorsese film at night.

She said: "I like a lot of 60s music - The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Tamla Motown classics."

And with a keen eye for style Lisa is delighted Dundrum Town Centre will be dressing the girls.

She added: "I love designers like Roberto Cavalli and clothes from Zara and Karen Millen."

3 LORRAINE KEANE

SHE'S known as the face of TV3 entertainment and the 33-year-old is relishing her new challenge.

Mum-of-two Lorraine said: "At the minute I feel like Meryll Streep in Death Becomes Her when her head is spinning round and round.

"It's hectic in the office and we had the traditional week of teething tantrums and tears.

"We got through it and I wasn't the first one to cry.

"We are dying for the show to go on air now as we've been rehearsing for the past two weeks and we know it's do-able.

"So I just want it all to go ahead.

"I have a huge appetite for the kind of stuff we're doing on the show and I think audiences will love it too."

4 SYBIL MULCAHY

SYBIL is a familiar face to TV3 viewers as she worked on the news before taking the plunge and joining Xpose.

As a busy mum of baby Hugh who will be one in July, Sybil said leaving him at home to go on the Xpose trail is tough.

The 33-year-old said: "The only time I see Hugh is when I put him to bed.

"Sometimes I go home put the baby to bed and come back to work. But we're all putting in long hours to make the show a success."

Film buff Sybil would love to interview Anthony Hopkins and blames her psychiatrist dad for her love of spaghetti westerns.

She said: "The Good The Bad And The Ugly and Goodfellas are two of my favourite films."

5 AISLING O'LOUGHLIN

AS a former weekend news anchor, people are more used to seeing the serious side of Aisling.

But the 28-year-old is looking forward to letting her hair down.

Aisling said: "I've been with TV3 for five years doing news but when this opportunity came up, I jumped at it.

"With news you are dealing with real lives, sad stories and serious issues so you can't treat them in a lighthearted manner.

"And sometimes you bring part of that home with you as well.

"So I am delighted now because I can have a laugh and be creative because that's my forte.

"I can be myself - I can smile and not feel guilty about it."
