The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) to terminate contract employees.

PESHAWAR, December 01, 2010 (Balochistan Times): The State Bank of Pakistan has decided to terminate its all contract employees working throughout the country, but authorities have declined any such thoughts. The number of temporary employees belonging to State Bank is over 500 who have become agitated over this information. State Banks spokesperson when approached for clarification, has said that there is no such plan in consideration of authorities. On contrary, he said SBP plans to revisit the contacts of such non-permanent employees when needed. It has been learnt from sources quoting the Legal Council of State Bank Samira Bakhtaran that renewing of contracts is not in plans of institute rather to dismiss them upon finishing their terms. There is a chaos developed among the temporary staff of bank working all over the country on this half-truth. Temporary staff includes but are not limited to security guards and high ranked officers who are working on this status. This has also been learnt from the sources that some of contract employees were given permanent status earlier by the premier bank.
