THE Slug and Lettuce has reopened after an extensive PS350,000 investment. The North John Street venue has had an extra layer of glamour added and has also created 15 new jobs in the process. After the revamp, the pub and restaurant is still decorated in the signature Slug and Lettuce style - but it now has a "minimal yet elegant touch". There is a light, bright colour scheme and new birdcage booths, complete with chandeliers, that can seat up to 10 customers. Another highlight is the Ciroc Lounge which is an intimate downstairs bar with booths and a dance area (open Friday and Saturday nights). Guests can also take advantage of the new cocktail masterclass station. General manager at Slug and Lettuce Liverpool, Jackie Drennan, said: "We're so excited to be opening with a fresh new look!
"We are the first Slug and Lettuce site to offer the Birdcage Booths, which we're sure will be a hit, and the new Ciroc Lounge will give our customers a reason to stay all night long".
The food menu has also had a bit of a spruce-up, with a small plates section offering everything from crispy fried jalapeno to cured meat antipasti.
Customers will be able to share them at the cost of PS17 for five dishes.
The sweet and petite section also offers a selection of sumptuous desserts, including cookie crumb profiteroles drizzled in chocolate and zesty lemon and lime tart wedges. Throughout the week, the bar will be offering value deals for its customers, including 2-4-1 cocktails all day every day, and "Wine Down Wednesdays" where selected bottles of wine or Gancia Dry Prosecco will be PS12.
