The Scottish Salmon Company announces buy of West Minch Salmon.


Salmon producer The Scottish Salmon Company said on Tuesday it had bought local salmon farming firm West Minch Salmon, without disclosing the price.

Under the terms of the transaction, 11 West Minch Salmon sites in South Harris, North Uist and Benbecula in Scotland will be transferred to The Scottish Salmon Company.

The deal is in line with The Scottish Salmon Company's efforts to set up sustainable operations in the Hebrides rural area and grow the Hebridean brand, the company said.
