SKYPE'S internet telephony software has been incredibly successful, with 24 million people downloading it.

Skype allows PC users to make free, unmetered calls to other PCs anywhere, provided you have a mic, headset and internet connection.

Now, the company, have launched full versions for Mac OS X and Linux users (www.skype.com).

These include the features for Windows 1.0: free Skype-to-Skype calls and conference calls; cross-platform communications; personalisation features; and the pre-pay service for calls to any landline or mobile worldwide at local call rates.
