The Plumbing Place.

The Plumbing Place is one of Southwest Florida's finest companies specializing in top-quality custom plumbing fixtures and accessories. Carrying the best American and European brands, such as Grohe, Porcher, Blanco, Jado, American China, Sigma and Phylrich, The Plumbing Place can satisfy any request from an old-world antique style to the most contemporary design.

Customers browse the 6,000-square-foot showroom in fascination, discovering a wide variety of commodes, sinks, faucets, towel bars, drawer pulls, tubs, mirrors - including a unique range of makeup mirrors - and more. "We can do anything," says founder and owner Annamary Kennell.

Roy and Susan Palmer, whose recently completed estate, Es Ca'Bay, is already a Sarasota landmark, discovered that when they outfitted their bathrooms through The Plumbing Place. For example, The Plumbing Place faxed all of its foreign contacts to find the stainless steel commode Susan Palmer glimpsed in a European restaurant and finally located its manufacturer in Austria. Then, when Susan wanted a matching seat, the company found a Spanish manufacturer for that, as well.

"This product had never been sold before, but it's the kind of customized investigation we can handle," says Kennell. The Plumbing Place has helped design the plumbing in many of the finest homes, offices and yachts in the area.

The Plumbing Place has a distinct advantage over many other plumbing hardware businesses because it carries competing lines. The different lines offer so much variety that The Plumbing Place's highly trained sales staff is able to mix and match manufacturers to come up with a true custom look.

Because the inventory and the choices of finishes and styles are so vast, Kennell recommends that clients make an appointment with a sales representative to coordinate the look they want. "It can be overwhelming to handle on your own," she says. The sales staff sifts through all the information by regularly attending trade shows and biweekly seminars to learn about the latest products. They can efficiently advise customers about what works best for their needs. For large projects, The Plumbing Place creates a bound booklet with photographs to show customers what they have chosen and how it all works together. "Our goal is to help you find the best products with the best value for the best look," says Kennell.
