The Palm Beach County Bar's.
THE PALM BEACH COUNTY BAR'S Lawyers for Literacy Team recently competed against 22 corporate teams in the Palm Beach County Literacy Coalition's Great Grown Up Spelling Bee. The Lawyers for Literacy team placed sixth after successfully spelling words like recidivism, plethora, and eisegesis. The word that eliminated the lawyers was the Moroccan word for a wool hat called "chechia." (pronounced shashee) Last month, 13 attorneys participated in the Palm Beach County Bar's first spelling bee. The top three winners were Kathleen M.P. Davis, Steven Harris, and Art Pumpian. Harris and Davis, however, were unable to attend the Great Grown Up Spelling Bee. Filling in for them were runners up Duncan Farmer and Lisa Small. Pictured with the Palm Beach County Literacy Coalition's "Buzz Bee" (aka Ken Montgomery) are Pumpian, Small, and Farmer.
