The Oil Patch.

UPWARD BOUND -- The OPEC daily price has inched upward (above) ever since its surge and plummet (at left side of chart) when someone attacked Saudi oil installations three months ago. The price is now actually above the the top of that post-attack strike showing some anticipation that the US shale spurt may be slowing. Below, we show the annual price averages with 2019 almost over. The 2019 price has been so-so--not in the doldrums as in 2016, but nowhere near the above-$100 prices that prevailed in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
