2016 Goals

MHCGM is a private, nonprofit system of comprehensive mental health services that, for over 55 years, has been available to Manchester area citizens in need of care. Yearly we serve about 11,000 children, adults and seniors. We are a designated community Mental Health Program who provide a wide range of evidence based treatment services to people with serious and/or persistent mental illness. We also operate an affiliated group practice, Bedford Counseling Associates not eligible for those state funded services. Our Goal for 2016 is to continue to offer services in our BCA program to those who do not have insurance or an ability to pay for needed care. By doing this we help community members get service needed before their illness progresses leading them to need our more intensive state funded programs.

Fundraising Events

MHCGM offers many opportunities for community members and organizations to support mental health services via our annual events "For Mental Health." Proceeds from all events help to provide needed mental health services for children, adolescents and adults in the community who are challenged with mental illness and who would otherwise go untreated. Individuals or corporate sponsors show support through our yearly events; Silent Auction, Run/ Walk for Mental Health 5k, Annual Symposium on Mental Health and our Annual Awards Event that highlights well-known national speakers on mental health issues.

Giving Opportunities

MHCGM seeks the support of individuals and corporations to help to make a difference in lives of those who are challenged with mental illness. Statistics show that 1 in 5 people are affected by some form of mental illness each year. Annual Fund Gifts--are earmarked for charity care services and will help to improve the quality of life for individuals of all age groups. Sponsorships--All annual events are in need of new and returning sponsorships. Corporate Events -MHCGM continually seeks new partnerships with businesses or organizations within the Greater Manchester community who will donate proceeds from planned annual events or fundraisers. In-Kind Donations--Items of value, local services or baskets are appreciated each year.

Volunteer Opportunities

Event volunteers are needed each year to help with our community run/walk for mental health in June. For more information see: Other volunteer opportunities may include, printing, photography, media and other digital services or perhaps serve on a committee or advisory board.
