The Men in Black are real.
The Scots grandad who took an alien snap that shocked the world last night revealed he was visited by two real-life Men in Black. But retired fireman Jim Templeton, from Carlisle, won't go to see the Hollywood movie of the same name - in case it brings back unpleasant memories.
The 77-year-old photographed the famous Solway Spaceman in 1964.
And the Desert Rat has now revealed that Government agents turned up to investigate the alien sighting just days later.
The grandfather-of-four said: "It's only recently I've realised who these people might be and that they were no ordinary British government agents.
"They were two large fellas over six foot high, both dressed in black, of course, and wearing bowler hats - that's the only difference with the guys in the film.
"They said they worked for the government and that they were only identified by number.
"I had to take them to the exact spot where the photo was taken.
"Then they walked to their car and drove off. I'd to walk back."
"We thought they were security guys working for the government wanting to know what was going on."
