To strengthen CCR's communications capacity, which will include working more effectively with the media; educating the public on refugee issues and thus increasing support for Canada's role in protecting refugees; developing and strengthening alliances with strategic partners beyond the refugee and immigration sector; and increasing member capacity to engage in and impact public policy. $150,000
Dixon Hall. To support the development of employment training programs in the Regent Park Community. $70,000
FCJ Refugee Centre. For the expansion and implementation of a resource development plan and to support FCJ Refugee Centre's work with the local refugee council. $52,000 annually for two years.
Human Rights Research and Education Centre at the University of Ottawa. For the establishment of the Refugee Forum, which will promote reforms to Canada's refugee system. $70,000 per year for three years.
Thorncliffe Neighbourhood Office. To establish a human resource management strategy, and to develop and implement a communications plan. $30,000
World University Service of Canada. To develop links with alumni and other stakeholders, which will enable WUSC to broaden and deepen its outreach to improve donor cultivation, and to accelerate private sector fundraising activities. $75,000 over two years.
York University, Schulich School of Business, Nonprofit Management and Leadership Program, Toronto. For activities of the York University's Maytree Foundation Executive Directors' Institute, which focuses on management issues such as human resources, governance, social entrepreneurship, social marketing and collaboration. $139,700
