The Land Conservancy of McHenry County to host Pollinator Garden Walk.

Byline: Submitted by The Land Conservancy of McHenry County

On Saturday, July 27, The Land Conservancy of McHenry County invites local residents to a garden walk at 9 a.m. at the Mariposa Meander Pollinator Garden in Woodstock.

The event is free, and no registration is required.

Participants will learn about the one-year-old garden and its native plants, the pollinators they support, and receive tips for planting pollinator-friendly plants at home.

Mariposa Meander is a 50- by 50-foot garden that is open to the public and features benches, paths and signage.

The garden is the result of a partnership between the City of Woodstock and The Land Conservancy of McHenry County.

Participants can park and meet at Ryder's Woods for a short woodland walk to the pollinator garden.

Ryder's Woods is located at 750 Kimball Ave. in Woodstock.

The Land Conservancy of McHenry County is a member-based, private nonprofit dedicated to preserving natural, scenic and agricultural land.
