The Lancaster Malt Brewing Co.
Caption: The Lancaster Malt Brewing Co. opened its doors in April of 1995 and since that time it has been continuously operating as a restaurant and brewery, but the brewery is under new ownership as of July 2002. The current owners, Irene Keares an and Jim Weber, changed the name to the Lancaster Brewing Co. Built in the 1880s, the building that is now home to the Lancaster Brewing Co. has been utilized in a great variety of ways. The building served as a tobacco warehouse into the 1930s. During World War II, it housed German POWs and after the war was again used as a warehouse. Complete story of the planned revival of Lancaster Brewing Co. on page 2 of this edition.
