Caption: The Kalamazoo Brewing Company of Kalamazoo, MI has launched Bell's Winter White Ale with a unique "snow globe" tap-handle. Bell's Winter White is a wheat beer, fermented with the brewery's own blend of Hefe and Belgian Ale yeasts. Fred Bueltmann, Kalamazoo's v.p. of sales and marketing, said that Winter White will be sold on draught throughout KBC's nine-state trading area. He said there will be no bottle distribution this season although plans for future seasons have not been determined tap-handled features a collectibles snow-dome created and manufactured just for the brand The snow-dome features the Bell's logo and a three-dimensional glass of beer. "A snow-dome begs for motion, You can't pick one up without shaking it and staring into the snowy scene." stated Bueltmann. "With the spring attachment, every time a bartender pours a pint of Winter the snow-dome goes into action. We think it's a fun way to bring attention to the brand and address the fall and winter season in a playful way." Winter White Ale P.O.S. features the tap-handle snow-dome and the tagline: "Traditionally, winter beers are dark and bitter, but we figured winter makes people dark and bitter enough." Winter White is a seasonal beer, available until mid-March, 2004.
