The Hibernia Savings Bank elects new director.

QUINCY, Mass. --(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Feb. 9, 1995 -- The Hibernia Savings Bank (NASDAQ:HSBK) announced today that at the Dec. 21, 1994 meeting of the Board of Directors, it was unanimously voted to elect Douglas C. Purdy, Esquire a director of the corporation.

Douglas C. Purdy is a partner of Serafini, Purdy, DiNardo, and Wells, a Quincy, Mass. law firm. Purdy is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School and is a resident of Scituate, Mass. Purdy is also a past president and director of the Norfolk Bar Association as well as the Quincy Bar Association. Purdy specializes in real estate law and brings over 27 years of legal and business experience to the Board of Directors of The Hibernia Savings Bank.

The Hibernia Savings Bank, founded in 1912, is a full service, state-chartered, stock savings bank. The main office of the Bank is located at 731 Hancock Street, Quincy, Mass. The Bank's administrative offices are located at 730 Hancock Street, also in Quincy. Retail branch banking facilities are located in Boston, Quincy, Braintree and Weymouth, and Loan Centers in Quincy and Braintree. All deposits are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. ((FDIC/Deposit Insurance Fund(DIF)).
