The Heroes.

Byline: Audrey Taylor

It all began in the rocky sea tension and anxiety The seaman and the b'sun braved the storm so dark and dirty.

Black was the night, the lashing foam, their eyes could barely see They ventured forth,no thought of home, to save desperate souls at sea.

The dedicated sailors, who risk their lives for all, with strength and courage in their hearts, they answer the rocket's call. The waves so white and ten feet tall came crashing on the bows. Angry was the raging sea, whipped up by winds of wrath, no mercy shown to those who dare to venture in its path. Boiling and bubbling like a witch's cauldron, gigantic metaphor, family and friends pray fervently, lined up along the shore.

To see these gallant men return, with loved ones safe and sound, their cries of joy and hymns of praise, re-echo all around.
