The Guinness query and just what two can do.

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Licensed Victuallers' Association had a visit to the Park Royal Brewery of Guinness in 1960. We carried their picture last week.

But where was Park Royal?

I asked the question and got two swift responses.

Steve Robinson says it is in north-west London, just south of Wembley.

"It is the English production base for Guinness stout but far less famous than the St James' Brewery in Dublin," he explains.

And Barry Chambers adds: "I was at Park Royal myself last week. It's a small suburb next to Wembley and consists mainly of business and trading estates."

So now I know where Guinness comes from.
