The Dutch club which links Marcel Brands with Everton's past and present; Brands on the books at the club from 1986-87.

Marcel Brands has been given some new reading material - a copy of Ronny Goodlass' book.

The former Blues winger went to Finch Farm on Sunday to chat with the club's director of football and hand over Blue Nose.

Brands knows Goodlass as not only a former Everton player, and current summariser for Radio Merseyside, but also as an ex-NAC Breda wide man.

Goodlass played for the Dutch side between 1977-79 after leaving Goodison with Brands on the books at the club from 86-87.

The pair met earlier in the season but talked in more depth at the weekend aboutEverton with Goodlass saying: "It was great to meet up with Marcel again.

"We talked about Everton and I wished him every success for the future with Everton."

Ronny is holding a book signing at Everton Two on Thursday between 12-2pm.
