Colon dash stop

AS offers go, the one from Baltic Holidays takes some beating.

Free colonic irrigation treatment for anyone who books a trip to Druskininkai.

I'll bet your tummy's rumbling already at the prospect.

Druskininkai is, apparently, the oldest and most famous spa resort in Lithuania and the "vacation with free evacuation", as the advertising slogan runs, is available to celebrate its 210th anniversary.

The town has been named among Europe's top 10 health resorts and offers curative showers, curative mud, music chambers, reflexotherapy and oxygen treatment.

Not to mention inner cleansing.

Its mud is said to be among the best in Europe.

All I can say is that visitors obviously haven't played football on Leeds Road playing fields on a wet Sunday morning.

"The town is small enough to be seen on foot," says publicist Jaillan Yehia. "Those who can still walk after their treatment are encouraged to take a promenade along the banks of the Nemunas river ..."

Those who can still walk?

The holiday is a seven-night, two-centre break at Druskininkai and the Lithuanian capital Vilnius and prices start at pounds 532. For details contact Baltic Holidays.
