The Dean of real estate.

The Real Estate Board of New York honored Betsy Dean, of Stribling & Associates, with the Henry Forster Memorial Award at the annual REBNY awards dinner held on Thursday, October 23.

The Henry Forster Memorial Award is presented to a member of the residential real estate industry with outstanding professional accomplishments and a demonstrated commitment to the community.

Betsy Dean has worked with distinction in the residential real estate industry for almost thirty years. Throughout her career her commitment to the profession has lead her to the highest professional levels.

Dean now holds the position of managing director and senior vice president at one of Manhattan's most prestigious firms, Stribling & Associates.

Dean's commitment to the community does not end with her work in real estate. She helps care for the less fortunate by being a member of the board at Goddard Riverside, a West Side settlement house. She has also helped to create the meals program at Momentum, a charity based at St. Paul's Church, which provides meals, clothing and social services to those living with AIDS.

The Real Estate Board of New York has also benefited from Betsy Dean's wealth of knowledge and passion for the real estate industry. She has worked tirelessly to encourage cooperation between REBNY's many residential firms. She participates in REBNY's West Side committee and speaks as an expert at the Real Estate Board lecture seminars.

In addition Dean has run clothing and food drives with the West Side committee for various charities.

"Betsy Dean is known to be the 'Dean' of residential brokerage managers throughout Manhattan. She is empathetic, caring and intelligent and always brings out the best in brokers. Betsy consistently helps brokers consummate deals in a most professional manner. She is both generous of her heart and time and dedicates many hours to charitable endeavors. I am thrilled Betsy has been chosen to receive this award," said Elizabeth Stribling, president Stribling & Associates.
