The Critic.

1993. Wild Berry Learning Systems, Rt. 3, Box 224 A, Buckhannon, WV 26201. Complete package, $298.00.

The Critic is an instructional package designed to develop critical art thinking, writing and vocabulary skills. The complete package includes forty-eight clement cards, sixty organizational cards, ten mounted Shorewood art reproductions, sixteen reproducible worksheet masters, two display boards, a display stand, a carrying case and a fifty-five page teachers guide. Other component options are available to accommodate various program needs. The materials and activities are sequenced for introductory, intermediate and advanced levels, so the program can be easily tailored f or very young as well as adult learners. The instructions in the teachers guide are very clear, so special training on the use of this package is not essential. Teachers will probably find this extremely useful for developing a common art vocabulary and teaching art criticism. Students will probably find it both challenging and fun.
