"Double Down Summer 2000" promotion is said to have attracted significantly more callers than last year's effort, supported by displays like the one pictured above at Pop N Kork Liquors in Mendon, MA. Sitting on top of the display is Bill Caulfield, Coors field sales manager in Massachusetts, flanked by Mark McNamara of A & E Distributing, Leominster, MA. and Raymond Roy of Pop N Kork. "Coors Light Double Down 200 features the sweepstakes elements that consumers like most," says Lee Buxton, Coors marketing director. It's fun interactive, easy to play, has a cash prize, and there are lots of winners."

William Thies & Sons, Inc., in conjunction with Dave's Last Resort and the City of Lake Worth, is sponsoring a benefit golf tournament for the widow and children of slain Lake Worth grade school teacher Barry Grunow. Part of the two-day event will be a silent and a traditional auction that will be held in downtown Lake Worth. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to Mrs. Grunow and her two children.
