The Trustees of The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art elected Mark Epstein chairman of the board at the December meeting.
Epstein, a 1976 alumnus of The School of Art at The Cooper Union, has been a Trustee since 2004. He was elected Vice Chairman in November 2007. Active for many years in alumni affairs of the college, he is a former president and secretary/treasurer of the Alumni Association and received the Alumnus of the Year Award in 2002.
Epstein is the founder of the IZMO Family of Companies. He is also the general partner of Darn Partners, LP and president of Ossa Properties Inc., real estate ownership and management companies of commercial and residential properties.
He was a co-founder of King Graphic Technologies, Inc., innovators in the production of super large format digital outputting.
