The Coalition is running scared; LETTERS.

YOU can tell that it's election time and that the Coalition are running scared.

A few days ago, David Cameron was going to be tough on immigration, now we have the Chancellor, George Osborne, mounting a furious attack on the EU, who want to increase their annual budget, which will cost each UK citizen around pounds 375 in additional tax each year.

While the UK and the rest of the EU are suffering austerity measures, the EU Commission are determined to carry on with their spending plans, oblivious to the hardship of the European taxpayers.

Cameron and the Coalition know that there is nothing that they can do about it, other than to look as if they are fighting for our interests, hoping yet again to fool the electorate into voting for them.

The only way to change the current system is to stop voting for the parties that have betrayed, and continue to betray, the country and the people. Philip Griffiths, UK Independence Party
