The Clinic.

With Duncan Black, principal dentist at Halo Dental QI've never been very good at flossing, I don't like the feeling of the floss getting stuck between my teeth. A friend told me there were floss sticks on the market. But do they work and where can I buy them from? A You will find that most dentists or hygienists will recommend the products that would work best for you when you visit them. I find products like Colgate floss and Crest Glide are easy to use without getting stuck, which is the thing most clients complain about. You can also get inter-dental brushes that work well. You will find on most occasions your dentist or hygienist will stock them, or buy them at most major chemists.

Q Which is best - an electric toothbrush or old-fashioned one? A Studies show that electric toothbrushes are more effective for most people than manual. And more and more people are realising the benefits. But whether you use an electric toothbrush or a manual one it's about HOW you brush your teeth and how long you take. My favourite electric toothbrush is the Braun/Oral B. ? HALO DENTAL, 4 Annfield Place, Duke Street, Glasgow G31 2XQ. Call 0333 200 4443 or log on to www.halodental.co.uk
