The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated (Nasdaq:CAKE) announced on Monday that Hong Kong-based Maxim's Caterers Limited has opened the first The Cheesecake Factory in China on 1 June 2016 under a licensing agreement with CCF China Operating Corporation, an affiliate of the company.

This new restaurant, located in Disneytown, the shopping, dining and entertainment district in Shanghai Disney Resort, features The Cheesecake Factory's distinctive decor and its extensive menu of more than 200 selections, as well as the company's signature cheesecakes and desserts.

The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated, an operator of upscale casual dining segment restaurants through its subsidiaries, owns and operates 202 full-service, casual dining restaurants throughout the US and Puerto Rico, including 189 restaurants under The Cheesecake Factory mark; 12 restaurants under the Grand Lux Cafe mark and one restaurant under the RockSugar Pan Asian Kitchen mark.

Internationally, 12 The Cheesecake Factory restaurants operate under licensing agreements. Also, the company's bakery division operates two bakery production facilities, in Calabasas Hills, California, and Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
