The Centre for social impact.

Based at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, CSI was established in 2008 with funding from a Commonwealth Government endowment of $12.5 million. Its mission is to create beneficial social impact in Australia through teaching, research, measurement and the promotion of public debate. The Centre brings together the business, government, philanthropic and third (not-for-profit) sectors, in a collaborative effort to build community capacity and generate social innovation. It boasts among its ranks former well-known politician Assoc Professor Cheryl Kernot, and the former head of the Office of the Prime Minister John Howard, Professor Peter Shergold
