The Beach brawlroom.

PRO wrestling action returned to the Aberdeen Beach Ballroom for the first time in almost 30 years last Saturday with a sell-out crowd on hand to witness the bodyslamming action.

Over 1100 people saw WWE stars Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Bad Ass Billy Gunn entertain grappling fans atWrestle Zone's five-year anniversary super show.

A number of local grapplers had bouts on the big stage with City Councillor Len Ironside involved as a special enforcer for the main event, which saw Crusher Craib lift the Undisputed Championship.

Many dignitaries were in attendance, including Lord Provost George Adam, as the action got under way at the historic art-deco venue.

Wrestle Zone spokesman Martyn Clunes hopes this event will be the first of many.

He added:"Many people have said Saturday's event was the best thing to come to Aberdeen in a long time. The action came thick and fast, and I think the fans had a really great time.

"Locals like Zach Dynamite, Crusher Craib and Scotty Swift looked great on the big stage and we hope it's where wrestling will stay."
