The BOX: Robot Wars Five, 7pm, Sunday.

FANS were highly put out when the BBC decided to axe their cult show Robot Wars. But Five have come to the rescue, making a new series in Nottingham with Craig Charles as the Master of Ceremonies and new presenter Jayne Middlemiss talking to the teams.

The much-feared House Robots return, including the legendary Sir Killalot, the fire-breathing Sergeant Bash and the mechanical dog Growler. They will be aiming to crunch, crush and dispatch the home-made robots, while the amateur boffins are competing for a prize of pounds 20,000.
