The BOMA/NY 2006-2007 Pinnacle Awards.

The Envelope Please ...

In the Oscar-style ceremony which has become the signature of the BOMA/NY Pinnacle Awards, some of New York's newest and most high profile buildings--including Time Warner Center, the Sony Building and The Hearst Tower--tool home the coveted statuette representing operational excellence in categories spanning the building management profession. The ceremony took place before a packed house at Chelsea Piers on February 7th, and celebrated not only the skyline's highest award, but the 40th Anniversary of BOMA/NY.

Also taking home the Pinnacle were organizations and individuals who made a difference to the management profession, to the Association, and to the quality of life in the City itself. Among the high points was the recognition of The Durst Organization for its decades-long pioneering of environmental responsibility and green building.

The Pinnacle is the local level of the prestigious BOMA TOBY, or The Office Building of the Year Award, which stages competitions regionally and internationally. Pinnacle winners will go on to represent New York in the industry's only international competition. Earlier this month, BOMA/NY learned that two previous Pinnacle winners, 230 Park (The New York Central Building) and 90 Church Street were honored as Regional TOBY winners for Historical and Government Buildings, respectively.
