The Animal Foundation Celebrates World Spay Day with Spay and Neuter Specials Throughout the Month of February.

Las Vegas, NV, January 25, 2013 --( In celebration of World Spay Day (February 26, 2013), Pit Bull and Chihuahua owners can save up to 64% on spay and neuter surgeries for their pups during the month of February at The Animal Foundation's Low-Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic.

The Animal Foundation's Low-Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic provides quality services to the public at a fraction of the cost of veterinary hospital procedures. During February, Pit Bull and Chihuahua owners can alter their pet for less than the already low-priced services. Male and female Pit Bulls can be neutered or spayed for $50; male and female Chihuahuas can be neutered or spayed for $30.

Appointments are limited, and the promotion ends February 28. The Animal Foundation encourages members of the public interested in taking advantage of the promotional pricing to schedule their appointments as soon as possible. Appointments are also available for cats and dogs of other breeds at the Foundation's normal Low-Cost Clinic pricing, and can be made by contacting the Clinic.

There are many reasons Las Vegas Valley residents should spay or neuter their pets:

It's the law! City of North Las Vegas, City of Las Vegas, Clark County and City of Henderson all require your pet to be spayed or neutered.

Spaying and neutering helps fight pet overpopulation. By spaying or neutering your pet, you can help prevent thousands of unwanted pets resulting from unplanned and unwanted litters from entering shelters each year.

Your animal will live a longer and healthier life. Spaying and neutering can prevent life-threatening diseases from developing in your dog or cat.

Spayed and neutered animals are much friendlier to be around. Your female cat or dog won't go into heat, and male cats and dogs are less likely to spray strong-smelling urine in your home, to roam away from home to look for a mate, or to mount the furniture or legs of human friends.

It isn't expensive. The Animal Foundation's Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic provides quality services available to the public at a fraction of the cost of veterinary hospital procedures.
