The 1993 Soft*Letter Leadership Scorecard.

Last year, we launched our first annual "Leadership Scorecard"--a special issue that gave Soft-letter readers a chance to grade the industry's ten largest companies on such qualities as management, technology, customer service, and marketing.

Now we're back to take a new look at how these top companies fared in 1993. We're also expanding our rankings this year to include a total of 17 companies, all of which play a major role in the PC software marketplace. And, again, we'd like you to share your thoughts about the leadership qualities of these firms.

Naturally, the ratings you give will be completely anonymous (though we've randomly coded the forms to prevent anyone from stuffing the ballot box). The deadline for returning the survey forms is November 30; a tally of results, with commentary, will appear in Soft*letter in early December.

So please take a few moments to fill out the form on the back of this letter and send it back to us. We value your opinion as an industry insider, and we look forward to hearing from you!
