Thailand government renews lease.

Helmsley-Spear, Inc. has negotiated a 5,500-square-foot, 10-year lease renewal for the Government of Thailand valued in excess of $2 million at 5 World Trade Center. Helmsley-Spear Vice President Peter E. Sabesan represented the tenant in the transaction which also included additional space.

The deal, which took approximately three years to complete, was finally closed because the Port Authority, the complex's owner, was so adept in working with foreign tenants, according to Sabesan. Port Authority's Gary Wenger and Leo Robinson represented the landlord.

The nine-story 5 World Trade Center is part of the 10 million square foot World Trade Center complex.
