The head of Thailand's central bank has said that the bank has room to pause on policy rates.

Central Bank governor Veerathai Santiprabhob said that the apex bank has room to pause on rates and take appropriate action when necessary. He said that risks to the economy from the disputed recent election were minimal. He however said that external risks were substantial.
