IT IS becoming increasingly dificult to reverse out of car park spaces, especially outside supermarkets, because so many people now drive SUVs and 4x4s. My car is a normal car but when these high, fat vehicles are parked either side, they make it almost impossible to see the traffic coming past behind, making a bump far more likely than in the past when reversing out. Often these big vehicles are being driven by able bodied people who do not need the extra size. Out on the road, they also take up far more of the carriageway when trying to get past on a tight street.

EHJ, Hamilton ARE people becoming ruder? I ask because I am continually disappointed by people who, when you hold a door open for them or say sorry if you get in each other's way out of politeness, either ignore you or just stare at you. Oldies are as bad as the young. Are basic manners out of fashion? 8DA JS, Falkirk Texts followed cost IF Boris Johnston becomes the first Prime Minister in history to be imprisoned for contempt of court, it 25p each plus one standard network won't be all that bad. I expect he'll do about six months in an open prison and come out to a world of deals - book deals, film deals, magazine and newspaper article deals, television chat show deals, university lecture tour deals - everything but a Brexit deal. The rest of us? We'll get a raw deal.
