MONEY talks, or in the case of Ineos chief Jim Ratcliffe, it shouts. He rows with his workers, threatens the Government over his firm's Grangemouth plant's future and takes the people to court because they are against fracking. His reward? A knighthood. Why are the SNP not complaining about this or are they just like the Tories, and money counts more than the people? J. McG, Hamilton WHY is it a shock that 41 per cent of people said Scotland's economy would be better off after independence? That only suggests that 59 per cent would be against independence as those 41 per cent are likely to be Nationalists. Jimmy Neil, Glasgow I WAS disappointed to hear that new releases from Irish bands Ash and Snow Patrol have foul language. With a little effort, the lyrics could have been cleaned up.
Come on guys, you can do better.Alun, Bonnyrigg, Midlothian 8DA 3850 WHAT a fantastic achievement by the Scotland cricket team, beating England - in the same year we beat followed them at rugby too. G.C., Glasgow I'D like to thank the kind people of Paisley who helped when I tripped over a raised paving slab outside Greggs in the town last Thursday. It's nice to know there are kind people out there.
