I WAS at the Prog Before Xmas gig for Maggies cancer charity on Saturday night.

Various bands - Able Ganz, Comedy of Errors, Long Earth, and Tiger Moth Tales - gave their time for free, for this good cause.

Unfortunately, many people who came along didn't seem interested in any of the bands, and spent the whole evening talking loudly, over each act.

I think that people going to gigs need to keep talking to the minimum, and show some respect.Alunt Bonnyrigg

CHRISTMAS is just days away and so is the annual festival of TV repeats.

Not everyone is able to afford Sky or Virgin, so they won't have access to the films that premiere over the holidays.

Surely with the money we fork out for our TV licence and with the ad revenue ITV and Channel 4 make, the telly networks can - and should - do better. But they won't. Bah humbug.Andy P, Carntyne, Glasgow
