WHILE there may be some merit in saying Glasgow's one-way system can be confusing, especially to strangers, as someone who has driven these streets for over 50 years, it's rogue drivers who have forced the council to install bus lane cameras by their persistent disregard for the road signs. So talk of more education is futile.

A.B., Cumbernauld I THINK Martin Olej, who murdered and set on fire a pensioner, should have been given a harsher life sentence than the minimum of 12 years. He has been given every opportunity in life and, as his father was in the police, he should know the difference between right and wrong.


WHY do so many people have cancer? My terminally ill wife neither smoked or drank. Is it something in the food chain, such as all those preservatives? But how did she get into the Golden Jubilee Hospital in Clydebank when she stays in Edinburgh? Anon IS it just me or is everyone finding EastEnders boring? Same storylines, Bianca facing jail, Kat and Alfie splitting up and Masood splitting up, too. Time for change - Corrie is far more exciting.

Anon WHEN are people going to wake up to the fox population explosion? Those who disagree with fox-hunting know nothing about them. Leave this to country folk. Townsfolk don't know the dangers.

Anon NO surprise foxes are becoming a menace in Edinburgh. Who had the bright idea of emptying bins only every two weeks to save money? A.T., Edinburgh
