ONE OF THE NEW-PRODUCT focuses for Textiliery Weavers at this week's gift fair will be to expand its collection of bamboo products. The throw grouping pictured here includes the BTEX PL-TC throw (hanging), along with the BTEX PL-TBL (top of stack), the BAST PKA (second in stack), the BAST TOF (third in stack) and the BAST ALM (bottom of stack). This line is colored in red-hued neutrals, shades of black, cocoa, light tobacco, paprika, toffee and almond. The company's bamboo line is a "green" collection in that it is made with a lightweight, sustainable bamboo yarn. This yarn "continues to be the perfect resource to create warm, silky and luxurious new designs in colors that also respond well to today's design direction," said Judith Rose, head designer for Textillery. "We're finding that customers are taking the eco-friendly movement seriously. They want to know that the products they buy--and the companies behind them--are environmentally friendly from start to finish." Made from the pulp of bamboo grass, bamboo fiber comes from a fast-growing plant that doesn't require harsh chemicals such as pesticides or herbicides, textillery.com
