How have you made the transition from winner of a reality TV show to a classical artist?

It's what I did first. I trained in piano and violin since I was a child and studied at the Royal Academy.

Did your classical training ever go against the grain in the pop world?

I think people could misunderstand me when I asked which key to sing in or spoke too technically. It wasn't showing off. It was just what I knew. But I soon learned to keep quiet, to know my place.

Do you intend to shake the classical music scene up?

I may surprise a few people. I've put an R&B beat under Bach's Toccata and I took a Linkin' Park track, Crawling, which has a very strong melody and gave it a classical twist.
