Texas Money

We are told that two or three Dallas businessmen are buying CMW Inc. at Clarksville. CMW was owned by Advanced Manufacturing Systems Inc. of Houston.

The longtime Clarksville concern has seen better days. Insiders were surprised when it came back after a devastating fire a couple of years ago.

The company, which manufactures custom production machinery, has about 50 employees.

The deal should be signed June 1.

What makes this so interesting is that it marks the second acquisition in Arkansas by the Texas investors in a matter of months. They recently purchased United Conveyor and Material Handling Inc. at Bryant.
