Tevez trains alone.

Summary: Carlos Tevez has returned to Manchester City following a two-week ban, although the player was immediately dispatched to train alone.

Carlos Tevez has returned to Manchester City for training following a two-week ban, although the player was immediately dispatched to do fitness work on his own.

The Argentina international's suspension for allegedly refusing to play in the Champions League defeat at Bayern Munich has now expired and he arrived at the club's training ground just after 12.10pm.

Although it is claimed Tevez has kept himself fully fit during the past fortnight, manager Roberto Mancini still felt it necessary to set the 27-year-old to work in a different part of the Carrington complex.

His return comes after the club confirmed the striker will face disciplinary proceedings over his conduct.

An internal investigation was launched and now Tevez has been informed he will be punished.

Sources close to the player have previously indicated Tevez would comply with his club's wishes, and it is thought he will be available for Saturday's home encounter with Aston Villa.

Mancini previously declared the player was "finished" at City.
