Tester checks cavity sensors.


Cavity pressure and temperature sensors can be checked to confirm proper operation with a new signal tester from Priamus System Technologies LLC., Brunswick, Ohio. Its new Priamus Signal Tester type 8951A checks sensor function during mold assembly, installation, or maintenance. The tester displays actual pressure and temperature values, and can conduct a wide range of tests. These include an insulation test for piezoelectric sensors and checking the sensitivity of Priamus' Priased cavity pressure sensors, even when already mounted in the mold. It can check the polarity of a temperature sensor or conduct a short-circuit test. The battery-run tester has a user-friendly handheld control with keypad and text display.
