Terranova App Debuts Live, Location-Based Photo Feed at Escape Music Festival.
CHICAGO, Oct. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Terranova C the app that makes it easy to share and discover what's happening around you right now C today announced that it will debut its new location-based photo stream for live events at the inaugural Escape Music Festival. The electronic and indie rock music festival takes place October 11-12, 2014 at the Governors Beach Club in New York and is expected to draw more than 7,000 music fans.
The Terranova app allows users to snap a picture of something they'd like to share and automatically creates a live, geo-tagged "beacon" that is discoverable by everyone in the vicinity, as well as Facebook and Twitter friends. Terranova maps each user-generated beacon and makes them viewable via a real-time, Instagram-like photo feed.
For the first time, Escape festivalgoers will be able to post and view publicly shared event photos without requiring Facebook connections with other users or Twitter hashtags.
In addition to headliners such as Moby, Placebo, Yeasayer, and Girl Talk, Escape will host the famed Ibiza promoter El Row's first North American appearance, featuring top underground DJs along with interactive art, roaming theatrical performers, and a full immersive state-of-the-art production design.
"Escape is much more than a music event. With Terranova, festivalgoers can easily share their most memorable and immersive experiences with those around them, as well as their social media networks around the world," said Merritt Quirk, festival founder and managing director at Balearic Entertainment.
