HILLSBORO, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 23, 2000

TenAsys Corporation and RadiSys Corp., (Nasdaq:RSYS), today announced an agreement to transfer the development and maintenance of the iRMX and INtime real-time software products to Beaverton-Ore.-based TenAsys Corporation.

TenAsys will develop, support and sell the products worldwide.

With an engineering team who were key developers of the iRMX(R) Operating Systems at Intel Corporation and the INtime(R) Real-Time Extension to Windows NT at RadiSys Corp. TenAsys, as a software company, is able for the first time to maximize the potential of these products in the embedded systems marketplace. This will enable the company to exploit the strengths and capabilities of the INtime and iRMX products in order to increase visibility and market presence, resulting in better customer relations and support.

"TenAsys was founded to take advantage of the millions of dollars of development effort in these two robust, proven 32-bit real-time operating systems," Rick Gerber, TenAsys co-founder, said. "The advantages and benefits found in INtime and iRMX are not available elsewhere. INtime adds determinism and gives robustness to the Windows NT family of operating systems, yielding 'Industrial Strength Windows'."

TenAsys aims to build on the established base of hundreds of thousands of iRMX and INtime installations worldwide in mission-critical applications including civilian and military air traffic control; process control, data acquisition, telemetry, medical systems, financial transaction processing and telecom switching.

TenAsys has established relationships with strong and dedicated partners in each of the major geographic regions to enable them to establish a worldwide presence matching the major markets. Their partners in Europe and Japan will ensure they can provide local support and sales coverage. TenAsys' partner in Europe, LocSoft, is well known for its wealth of expertise in Real Time Software, and provide both software and hardware solutions for the embedded market. In Japan, Micronet has developed iRMX-derived products for many years, providing high quality iRMX solutions in key industry segments.

TenAsys will sell direct in the U.S. and through its partners worldwide. For more information, contact TenAsys at info@tenasys.com or call 877/277-9189 or 503/615-1545.
